As a result of one’s British studies, the use of calcium (even in combination with vitamin D) does not reduce the incidence of fractures due to osteoporosis. In the another study there was pointed that the use of calcium has a very little effect on bone density. After analyze of the data again, the researchers had found that excessive consumption of this element, on the contrary, will increase the risk of fractures.
What should we do to avoid it? According to recent recommendations of American scientists, people in the age group of 50 years old should take daily dose of calcium – 1200 mg.
